Daily Bible Readings
2018 Daily Bible Reading Plan
In traditional “Read the Bible in a Year” plans, the diligent reader will spend usually 9 months in the Old Testament, and then are (by comparison) rushed through the New Testament. For Christians who devote their lives to following Christ and following the teachings of His apostles, reading the Bible in this manner seems out of balance with our spiritual focus.
In light of this, the Bible reading plan for 2018 has been adjusted to provide us with more exposure to the Psalms, and the New Testament. If one follows the below plan for 2018, he/she will read through the Old Testament once, and through the New Testament and the Psalms twice.
This approach will also allow the Bible student to be exposed to different types of scripture each day. Hopefully this will allow one to read through more difficult books such as Leviticus or Jeremiah more slowly, since the O.T. is spread over an entire year instead of 9 months.
